Yes, there's an API that SG released but I can't find the documents and downloads for it. I'm no programmer but I use this on Kodi and it works well, maybe this can also port to the MB products. +1 I have an Antec Fusion Black case with with the soundgraph too.
#SOUNDGRAPH IMON MONITOR CHANGE COLORS SOFTWARE#
Shame really as the Imon VFD is nice (much better than the LCD version) just that the Imon software was crap.

I did try the XBMC / Imon plugin(xbmc on imon) but that caused issues and instability so now the VFD just displays the news, weather and info about my HTPC. Since running Win8.1 i have never been able to get the Imon VFD display to show the equalizer nor film or audio title as i could when running Win 7, The Imon forums are a waste of time, i actually think the company no longer exists, there have been no relevant postings on any of the Soundgraph / Imon forums for a couple of years. this of course means that the imon no longer works with a remote but cured that by purchasing a media centre remote off ebay and using the RC6 usb dongle that came with it to pick up the Harmony One+. Since installing the silver paper never had a problem. I cured the issue by glueing a piece of silver paper over the IR receiver, i had already disabled in the Imon software the remote options but that never made any difference. Finally worked out that it was being caused by the remote controls for TV, Tivo box etc (now have a Harmony One+).

I have the Antec Fusion case (silver) with the Imon VFD display.Īlways had issues with the display suddenly going all garbled and not responding. Problem is the soundgraph imon software (last I checked, which was a couple years ago) isn't open source or well supported either, so I'm not sure its possible It would be nice to see a plugin of some sort, that could communicate with the screen and let u have complete control of what it displays and when. I actually got a set of filters for the screen itself to dim it down, I planned to open it up, cover the IR sensor with electrical tape and keep using my USB IR sensor instead, after looking at what was involved to open it up and add the filter screens I gave up and just left it unplugged.

I have long ago just unplugged it tho.Īt the time it was just a pain in the a$$ to deal with, the screen was incredibly bright, very limited support and functions for it (it was like watching a movie with a flashlight pointing at me, but luckily opening up iTunes would cause the imon software to crash n turn off the screen lol), and the IR sensor didn't work very well with my harmony remote. And all this with Win10.+1 I have an Antec Fusion Black case with with the soundgraph imon screen. The old piece of hardware works with an "obsolete" motherboard, an "obsolete" processor and a nearly antediluvian case. The people from the IT shop connected the display to a self-made USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 adapter and now everything works. No matter what the motherboard specs are, don't trust your BIOS when it says that the onboard USB 3.0 ports are backward compatible: the IMON display requires a native USB 2.0 connection to funcion properly.

The IMON LCD display seems to only support an USB 2.0 connection. I took everything to my trusted IT shop and they found the problem: The IMON Manager wheel was yellow, not blue. I could turn the HTPC on and off but no more display function was supported. I mounted the new motherboard and an Intel Core i3-6100 3.7 GHz processor I had from another machine, I connected everything, I installed Win10 and. I bought an "osolete" motherboard because the LCD display is mounted on a Siverstone ML02 case which is not compatible with modern motherboards. The "new" motherboard is actually an old model which is currently out of stock (I found it on ebay). My trusted IT shop found the solution and I would like to share it for those who could encounter the same issue.įirst of all a brief explanation: I opened this thread because my old HTPC motherboard died and I could not get the iMon LCD display to work with an Asus H110i-Plus Mini-Itx 1151 motherboard I bought to replace the previous motherboard.
